What makes you think it was not %26quot;suitable%26quot;? It was a gift from you. It was thoughtful and beautiful. Was she not grateful? Perhaps her unhappiness had nothing to do with your flower. Have you talked to her about it? Perhaps she has other things on her mind.

It means more to me that my child sincerely thought of me than anything she puts in my hands. I%26#039;m sorry, I know you%26#039;re feeling disappointed, but it%26#039;s possible that you%26#039;re misinterpreting her feelings. Then again, maybe she doesn%26#039;t have the same kind of selflessness that you do. You have a tender heart and as long as your gift was heartfelt, you should not second-guess it. Any rose my daughter gave me would be the most beautiful flower in the world!
