Flowers from FTD.com?

Hi

I was thinking about sending some flowers from FTD.com. I saw mini rose plants. Are they just an arrangement or do they keep growing? My sister really wants to grow roses but since she lives in a brightly lit apartment, I thought that I would send her a mini rose plant for her 21st birthday.

help please!

I am in agreement about calling a local florist in her city. You can go on line to get names of florist in her area.

My daughter sent me potted roses and they did well for awhile, but died later on. It is VERY hard to grow roses in the house, especially when summer arrives and the home owner has to turn on the air conditioner. Roses need sunshine and a hot climate to grow well.

With that said, it would brighten up her winter this year and you could send her another pot of roses in the 2008 winter.

A very easy growing plant is ivy. It does not have to have sun and will grow in bright light to medium light.

Reply:i have never been able to keep one of those mini rose plants alive ~~

FTD has tulips that are live %26amp; near bloom. They last a long time then can be transplanted into the yard or saved %26amp; repotted the next year
Reply:You%26#039;re better off contacting a local florist where your sister lives. ftd.com is just a broker who will take your order and then find a local florist who has the mini rose plant. They keep 20% of your money plus the handling fee and give the florist about 65-70% of what you spend. The local florist will tell you that your order will be a mini rose plant that will live and grow as long as your sister will know to take care of it.
